TIMELESS TRADITIONAL GARDEN

Nestling behind high walls is this wonderful space featuring several beautiful mature trees. We redesigned the paving for the couple who wished to make it more usable in all seasons. Carefully matching the existing Yorkstone terrace with new sandstone, we added a flight of curved hand-honed stone steps, plus an hidden but essential drainage soak-away under the lawn to manage rainfall off the expanded hard surface.

 

Much of the established planting was beloved by the owners and simply needed editing; and this was then revitalised with the addition of soft and romantic plants for colour in shade, including ferns, peonies and anemones in delicate tones to enhance the woodland feel.
