'WILD HIGH' GARDEN

Completed earlier this summer, this garden for a family of six in north London was a wonderful contrast of contemporary sleek materials and lines with soft and flowing planting.

The polished concrete upper terrace, steps and path is met by a 'wild high' style planting of tall grasses and prairie-style perennials to envelope and create drama. A small lawn was included to allow for bear-foot play and picnics. We added a productive fruit + veg garden in beautiful oak timber raised beds to help the family connect earth to plate. Finally at the rear, a shady-creating oak pergola was included to semi-screen the garden office and provide a cool and calming place to sit under the mature Birch tree in summer.
